Melissa and I ate dinner here last night. The sushi chefs make a few pieces, put them on a plate and drop the plate on a conveyor belt. Each plate is $1.20 (120 yen) and, from this side of the counter, you choose whatever plate looks good to you. At the end of the meal the servers count the number of plates and give you the bill. All along the wall of the counter there are self-serve hot water spouts so you can fill up your tea cup. Very handy and quite crafty.

From my living room window we have a view of the neighborhood park. Not sure if you can zoom in enough, but next to the green roof of the little "rest hut" there is a clock, which we used as our only means of telling time for the first week until we bought a cell phone.
Pretty random, I know, but here is an example of how trendy and fashionable men/boys are in Japan...as much, if not more, than the women/girls.
...Pink pants and white shoes though????
To continue on that theme, we constantly see what we have dubbed, "rock star" fashion. Sorry, they are a little dark.
I will post a picture of the Supermarket that looks like a Pachinko parlour next time...
Stay tooned... `Till next time,
Mike

Nice pics Mike.
Can't wait for the updates. Does the camera take videos? Perhaps you can host it in your own youtube channel.
